Up In Colorado

Hi Friends,
I'm sitting in a Borders in Greeley, Colorado home of the University of Northern Colorado. This is a lovely town with green hills, huge trees and lots of neat old houses. I've taken a lot of pictures but I left my camera in the trunk so you will have to wait to see them.

On the way up I sewed on little pillows Teesha Moore style and started decorating my flags for the Sarah Whitmire Out of the Book class. I've also been working in my travel journal and picking up lots of brochures and postcards. We stayed the first night in Albuquerque, New Mexico and then came on up to the Brighton, Colorado area.

We found a really cool museum of railroads and freight. The whole building is a scale railroad world from the logging camps, to the campers, to the towns, and the forest fires. Down to details and lots of funny little scenes. Doug and I enjoy finding unusual places and I think this one will remain one of our favorites. There is a large console where the men who have trains on display are routed through a message center and communicate what trains are on what tracks and if any emergency switches are needed. Check it out at http://www.gfsm.org/

It was truly amazing. So, since I don't think I will have internet connection tomorrow for Tuesdays With Rita here's your prompt a bit early. Can you guess what its going to be?

Tell us a memory that has to do with trains (large or small.)

Have a great week and I'll check in when I can.
